What we install and repair from the Union range
5-lever sashlocks and deadlocks: the Union 2200 sashlock and ASW deadlock are the two most-common Union cases we replace on UK commercial doors. Both are typically BS 3621-rated and meet insurance specifications. See door hardware repair.
Panic hardware: Union J-Force push-bar and touchbar panic hardware appears on commercial emergency exits. See panic hardware repair, push bar.
Cylinders and key control: Union cylinders are usually paired with the 2200 sashlock case; we replace cylinders independently of the case where required.
Common Union faults
Sashlock mechanism wear — lever springs lose tension over 12–18 years; case replacement is the standard fix.
Cylinder wear — standard key-cycle end-of-life. Cylinder replacement, keying preserved where required.
Panic hardware spring fatigue on the J-Force — spring kit replacement is the fix.
Sourcing and stock
Common Union spares (2200 sashlock cases, ASW deadlocks, J-Force panic hardware components) come through Assa Abloy UK distribution with same-day availability. We carry the highest-volume items on the vans for same-day fitting.
Compliance and insurance
Union mortice locks rated to BS 3621 meet UK commercial property insurance specifications for external commercial doors. Where a non-rated Union case is on an external door, insurance compliance may require an upgrade — we document the BS rating at point of fitting.
