Comprehensive Survey, Electrical Reconnection, and Full Servicing of Two Automatic Entrance Doors

At Commercial Door Maintenance and Security Ltd, we were recently called to Lloyds Bank in Droitwich to restore two of their automatic entrance doors. For a busy high-street bank, keeping automatic doors safe, reliable, and fully compliant is essential — not only for customer convenience but also for overall building security. Our team delivered a complete package of survey, coordination, servicing, and repairs to ensure both doors were working to their full potential.

The project began with a full site survey to assess the condition of the doors and identify the work required. We established that an electrician would need to reconnect the external door before we could carry out our servicing. Once the reconnection was complete, our engineers were able to move forward with a comprehensive programme of adjustments, safety checks, and upgrades.

For the main door, we carried out a number of detailed tasks to bring it back into safe and efficient operation. This included aligning the door, adjusting all sensors, calibrating door speeds, setting open timing, and fine-tuning the indoor sensors. We also reset the maintenance functions, checked all operational features thoroughly, and performed a full box test to confirm safe performance.

"When it comes to banking environments, working doors are more than convenience — they’re a matter of safety and trust. We were proud to ensure both at Lloyds Bank, Droitwich."

We addressed a series of mechanical and safety concerns. Our engineers secured the top centre pivot, adjusted the alignment, and fitted a new lock complete with three keys, which were left securely on site.

To improve safety, a lower finger guard was installed to reduce the risk of finger entrapment. In addition, we fitted a push button, installed new sensor cards on the safety system, and carried out a box test to confirm that every function was operating correctly.

By the conclusion of the works, both automatic doors were fully serviced, tested, and restored to reliable condition. Lloyds Bank in Droitwich can now rely on smooth, safe operation for both staff and customers, with the added reassurance that the doors meet compliance and safety standards.

The combination of precise alignment, upgraded safety features, and careful servicing reflects our commitment to quality and long-term reliability in every project we deliver.
