Upgrading Security & Safety for Agricultural Premises
Commercial Door Maintenance and Security Ltd were recently called to a working farm in Shrewsbury to carry out essential door hardware upgrades. The existing external locks and emergency exit hardware had become unreliable, which posed both a security risk and a safety concern for staff and visitors. Our engineers were tasked with replacing outdated pin code locks and repairing the panic push bar hardware to bring the doors back into full working order.
The external entry points were fitted with worn pin code locks that no longer provided the secure, controlled access the client required. We supplied and installed robust, modern replacements designed to withstand heavy daily use in demanding environments. These mechanical locks provide a simple but effective way to secure doors without the need for keys, making them particularly well suited to agricultural and commercial settings where multiple users need controlled access.
Alongside the lock replacement, we addressed issues with the panic hardware fitted to an emergency exit. The existing push bar had become stiff and unreliable, which could have compromised safety in the event of an emergency. Our team installed a new heavy-duty panic push bar, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with current safety standards.
