The automatic operator on this heavy-duty door had begun to fail, causing irregular motion and intermittent functionality. After a detailed inspection, we discovered that the automatic motor had been installed too close to the drive arm, resulting in mechanical friction that placed stress on the motor assembly and eventually led to system failure.
To restore full operation, our engineers dismantled the existing drive configuration and repositioned the automatic motor to the manufacturer’s recommended clearance. By realigning the operator and ensuring optimal spacing between the motor housing and the drive arm, we eliminated the friction that had caused the premature wear. This adjustment not only improved reliability but also extended the service life of the entire door mechanism. Once reassembled, the automatic door underwent a full recalibration to guarantee smooth and consistent movement, ensuring it opened and closed safely within the required cycle times of the hospital environment.
